Type a name. We check availability before any signup. If it’s free, leave an email — verify it to lock you.amail.stream. At checkout you activate a reserved name or pick a new one.

What it is

A real mail client, agentic first

Unified IMAP/SMTP inboxes for humans — plus an analyzed flag and a single authenticated MCP/REST door so agents can triage without trampling your read state.

How you run it

Open source, or we host it

Clone it, Docker it, keep it. MIT, free forever if you self-host. Prefer not to operate it? Hosted tenants live at name.amail.stream.

What it refuses

No AI-wrapper theater

Remote content stays blocked until you ask. Credentials are encrypted at rest. Agents mark work analyzed so the same thread is not handled twice.

For humans

Every inbox. One desk.

One paid main account, many sub-emails underneath. Hosted prefers one-click Google and Apple OAuth to link a mailbox; self-host still uses app passwords / IMAP. Threading, compose, attachments, shortcuts — a mail client, not a chatbot with an inbox glued on.

Main account & sub-emails

For agents

One endpoint. Analyzed once.

Paste amail.stream (or yourname.amail.stream) into Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or Cursor — MCP should be discoverable there. Same tools process mailand manage the account. Streamable HTTP at/mcp. Ask foris:unanalyzed, do the work, mark it analyzed.

Omarchy plugin

A desktop plugin for aMail: bar badges for unread and not-analyzed, a triage panel, and client/server modes. Same product, closer to the metal.
